Why choose ingress, egress and traffic separately?

The Gateway determines where devices connect from, while the Connector determines where your business services access the public internet. Each can be selected with its own region and resource plan, and traffic packages suited to that path carry the business traffic.

Does a Relay require an additional payment?

A Relay is a connection between existing nodes and is not subscribed to separately. Gateways, Connectors and traffic packages are each handled according to their own subscription and metering rules.

Does the first-time discount affect renewal pricing?

The first-time Light Gateway discount applies only to eligible first-term orders. Renewals use the normal monthly fee; eligibility and other available discounts are subject to the quote in the console.

Can I use my own server?

You can connect an existing server via BYOG or BYOC. This page shows hosted-node plans; you and your provider determine the cost of your own server. See the bring-your-own resources overview for details.
